2016 Vouvray Demi-Sec “La Folie”, Sébastein Brunet

Sébastein has won a few accolades for this wine including a brilliant review in La Revue du Vin de France, France's most important wine publication. It is perfectly pitched, the fresh acidity interplays with the gentle sweetness and they are combined by a zesty, sherbert-like acidity that carries the finish. Delicious

Vouvray is a style of wine I adore and so I have been on a mission for some time to find a Vouvray to fit in to my portfolio but I'm extra fussy. I wanted something fine, mineral, fresh and mouth-watering and this is not as easy as you might think.

After years and having tasted many I am happy to say that I have found it in the brilliant wines of Sébastien Brunet. Sébastien assumed control of his family domaine in 2006 following the untimely passing of his father, and has quickly become one of the Loire's fastest rising stars. All his wines are of exemplary quality.
