A fresh, perfumed bouquet evokes cherry, blackberry and gentle spice. Stylistically it is Southern Rhone meets Cru Beaujolais, and its lovely spiciness suggests some whole-bunch fermentation. In the mouth it's juicy and strikingly fresh with vibrant dark berry flavors lifted by garrigue and gentle spice. With a gentle chill this will be perfect in the warm weather.
La Ferme St Martin have provided us with pristine quality wines from their base high up on the side of the Mont Ventoux for many years, in fact they were in our very first container of wine and we have never mised a beat.
On my visit this year I was met by father Guy Jullien and then taken around by his son Thomas who has been the winemaker for many years now. After we finished the tasting he presented me with three new wines he had made from his neighbours grapes.
The neighbour had pulled out of the local Co-Op and offered the grapes to Thomas, very nice!
