2022 Jasnières 'Premices', Domaine de Bellivière

2022 Jasnières 'Premices' DRY. We have not had this wine for a little while, it is produced from the younger vines on the estate as a dry wine and this vintage it is superb. The nose is cool and breezy with lime, apple and marine aromas complexed by a very subtle reduction. Quite masterful, in the mouth it is vibrant and bright then taught with a full, minerally long finish. This is a wine that shows the brilliance of the estate and can be cellared for 10-15 years with ease. Superb

Jasnières and it's neighbour Coteaux du Loir are tiny appellations 25 miles north of Tours on the smaller Loir River in the central part of France's Loire Valley. Both appellations produce delicious dry white wines exclusively from Chenin Blanc. The wines are rare, and in the case of Eric Nicolas, amongst the greatest white wines produced in the Loire Valley. This is indeed an incredible source of wine.

These are hand made wines in the extreme and Eric has established himself  as the point of reference in this part of the valley and commands a serious and sincere domestic following, particularly amongst Sommeliers.
